SINGAPORE--Software giant CA Technologies has handed Asia-Pacific PR duties to boutique firm Infom.Asia following a competitive review.

The agency-of-record assignment includes strategic counsel, campaign planning, social media outreach and PR agency coordination across Asia-Pacific and Japan. The business was previously held by Hill + Knowlton Strategies.

In addition, In.Fom will also handle local market and regional media outreach in Singapore, where the firm is headquartered.

"The In.Fom team has demonstrated a keen understanding of the business opportunities of CA Technologies and has shared clear paths to how integrated communications can increasingly contribute to building a stronger brand in the region," said Kelly Long, VP of communications at CA Technologies Asia-Pacific and Japan.

The development is the latest sign of growth at In.Fom, which was launched in early 2011 by industry veterans Mike Liew and Voal Voal Wong. Last year, the firm won the keenly-contested Microsoft Singapore review, and has since added an office in Malaysia.

Wong will lead the CA Technologies assignment, having previously led H+K's technology practice in Asia-Pacific. "In.Fom is deeply focused on delivering quality results that matter, through an integrated approach to creating PR campaigns and direct senior-level counsel to clients," he said.

CA Technologies last year said that it had upped its investment in Asia-Pacific, focusing specifically on the areas of cloud computing and IT management.
