SUNNYVALE, CA--Juniper Networks VP of corporate communications David Shane has departed the company.

Shane leaves after two years with the technology company, which he joined after serving as HP's VP of global communications.

A Juniper Networks spokeperson confirmed that Shane had left the company, but declined to provide further details, noting that "our policy is to not comment on employee departures."

Shane spent three years at HP, prior to which he worked agency-side at Weber Shandwick in Los Angeles. He has also held senior communications roles at International Creative Management and Comcast.

During his tenure at Juniper, Shane shifted the company's global public relations business to Edelman from Weber Shandwick. He also hired one of IBM's top digital executives, Adam Christensen, to head social media at the company, as part of an aggressive attempt to expand Juniper's digital communication.
