2022 PR Holding Group Ranking: Omnicom Holds Top Spot

Omnicom PR Group retained top spot among holding group PR operations, growing 6.9% in 2021, or 6.3% on an organic basis, to $1.39bn. Omnicom PR Group remained ahead of WPP, up 5% to £910m in 2021.

Interpublic's Dxtra unit reported $1.26bn, but this includes several firms that do not specialise in PR. For its PR firms alone, there was double-digit growth in 2021. Elsewhere there were eye-catching performances by DJE Holdings (+19%) and Next 15 (+16%). DJE's performance, in particular, reflects the impressive gains recorded by independent PR firms — reinforced by growth at independent agency networks PROI (+18%) and IPREX (+10%).
