Alessandro de Pestel took the top marketing spot at Under Armour in 2018 after spending more than a decade at Tommy Hilfger. He joined the apparel company as it is facing more competition in the surging athleisure wear category — and dealing with some notable churn within its marketing ranks. Former marketing lead Adrienne Lofton departed suddenly for Nike last year; meanwhile its previous CMO Andrew Donkin lasted just over a year.

At Under Armour, de Pestel is a member of the executive team, reporting to president and COO Patrik Frisk, and is based at the company's global headquarters in Baltimore. Most recently at Tommy Hilfiger, he was EVP of marketing, communications and consumer insights, responsible for global alignment, planning and strategies to support the company's product directives and initiatives. Prior to that, he was international communications director for Christian Dior Parfums in France and vice president of global marketing for Omega Watches in Switzerland.
