L’Oréal Group

A communications all-rounder, Lucia Dumas Bezian joined the beauty and cosmetics giant L’Oréal Group in 2018 as executive vice president of communications and public affairs after an in-house career covering corporate and product communications, crisis management and digital communications in various industries.

Dumas Bezian’s previous roles include six years managing external and internal communications at Moulinex, including corporate communications and press, from 1995 to 2001, when she moved to French stationery brand Rhodia. She was appointed vice president of corporate communications in 2007, joining the executive committee. In September 2012, she joined ophthalmic lens company Essilor as vice president of corporate communications. Dumas Bezian was at the helm of the company’s communication strategy for five years before the move to L’Oréal, whose brands include Lancôme, Yves Saint Laurent, Kiehl’s, Giorgio Armani, Maybelline, Essie, Garnier and Décleor.

Dumas Bezian is L’Oréal’s third comms leader in nine years, following the 39-year residency of Béatrice Dautresme, who retired as executive vice president of corporate communications and external affairs in 2011.
