Former Twitter CMO Leslie Berland joined fitness equipment player Peloton at the start of 2023, charged with helping to rejuvenate sales following a period of waning demand. Berland oversees brand and product marketing, creative, consumer insights, membership and global communications.
Berland previously played a crucial role at Twitter, where she spent seven years and was concurrently head of people. She also held various marketing leadership positions at American Express for more than decade, across media, advertising and sponsorships.
Berland has already overseen a significant relaunch of Peloton’s brand since arriving at the company, focusing more on its app and content service rather than its iconic bikes. The move towards a more inclusive positioning has rolled out across US and Canada so far, with more markets expected in the coming months.
