Tara DiJulio

VP, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer
GE Aerospace
US

Public relations has always been a valued discipline at GE. Joyce Hergenhan, vice president of corporate public relations for much of the Jack Welch era, was one of the former CEO’s closest and most trusted advisors. Her successor, Beth Comstock, went on to head both PR and marketing for the company and later was president of NBC Universal’s digital media business. Today, the CCO role is held by Tara DiJulio, another distinguished PR leader.

In fact, DiJulio is both CCO for GE and chief corporate affairs officer for GE Aerospace. As a member of the senior leadership teams at both companies, she serves as a strategic advisor to GE chairmen and CEO and GE Aerospace chief H. Lawrence Culp, as GE refocuses on the growth sectors of healthcare, energy, and aviation. DiJulio leads GE’s communications function globally, including external communications and media relations, financial communications, public affairs, corporate reputation, and executive communications.

Previously, she was the senior executive director, global corporate communications, where she led external communications and senior director, global public affairs. Before joining GE in 2016, DiJulio spent nearly a decade in the US Senate, where she was a chief media strategist and national spokesperson for five senators and was communications director for the Foreign Relations Committee.
