Tier One Partners, a 2024 PR NEWS Agency Elite 100 firm, is seeking a highly motivated Account Director to help manage our growing teams, develop strategy for dynamic, nationally recognized B2B technology brands, and drive programming that consistently delivers stellar results.

Our ideal candidate has 6-8 years of experience in PR with a passion for business and technology media relations. This person comes ready on day one with outstanding client service skills and excels at program management. Prior work experience with B2Bb2b technology is required, with specific emphasis on cloud/SaaS, AI, data/analytics, and cybersecurity. This position is available to candidates looking to work in the agency’s Boston or Chicago offices.

A successful Account Director is someone who can: 

• Maintain outstanding client relationships, including serving as day-to-day client lead on multiple accounts.
• Take the lead in program strategy and plan development to support client marketing and business objectives. 
• Is a critical thinker and watches program results closely; can quickly pivot strategies to ensure success
• Lead media relations strategies for all proactive/reactive opportunities; motivate team and lead by example to deliver outstanding print, digital and broadcast results that align to agreed-upon measurement goals.
• Has a knack for creative thinking and is curious by nature.
• Manage accounts including hours, budgets and expenses.
• Manage and motivate staff to drive forward client activity.
• Understand core attributes of program measurement; develop measurement goals and track account results accordingly.
