The 2020 SABRE Awards South Asia is now accepting entries ahead of the early deadline of 8 May.

The eighth SABRE Awards South Asia, again produced by PRovoke Media and PRCAI, will not take place in July as scheduled, because of the Covid-19 pandemic. Instead, the organisers are currently investigating options to shift the event to a later date in September or October 2020.

As usual, all SABRE Awards South Asia winners will be automatically entered into the SABRE Awards Asia-Pacific competition at no extra cost. The SABRE Awards South Asia entry fee has also been slashed by 25% in response to the current situation.

All of the relevant entry information and fees can be found here, along with the procedure for making online entries. Entries will be accepted beyond 3 May until 5 June upon payment of a late fee.

A jury of industry leaders will be announced soon. The judging process, which will make use of SABRE's proprietary virtual judging platform, will be chaired by PRovoke Media editor-in-chief Arun Sudhaman and PRCAI president Nitin Mantri.

"As the Covid-19 pandemic continues, more and more industries are feeling the strain," said Mantri. "Our industry is no different. We are going through perhaps the most difficult and challenging time ever. But it is important that amid the uncertainty, we continue to celebrate our industry’s hard work of the past year.

"It feels good that the South Asia SABRE Awards continues its fascinating journey in 2020," added Mantri. "For us at PRCAI it has been a fabulous association of eight years with PRovoke Media during which we have stablished the awards as one of the most prestigious and authoritative industry events in the subcontinent. We look forward to rewarding another captivating year of creativity."

Last year's SABRE Awards South Asia saw Mahindra's 'Wings For Our Girls' campaign with Adfactors take top honours.
