NICOSIA--The Cyprus government has called in Action Global Communications to manage digital communications for its six-month presidency of the European Union.

Action will be responsible for developing and editing content and managing a dedicated website on a round-the-clock basis in five languages. The project is worth €120k over eight months.

The firm has embedded its own team into the Cyprus presidency, including the head of the Swedish team that ran the online press office for the latter country’s EU presidency.

“The website plays a crucial role in the communication of the vision and success of the presidency”, said Kathy Christodoulou, board director at Action. “We have a very experienced web team with strong editorial capabilities, hand picked to have both the expertise and the ability to be able to manage the website on a 24/7 basis, while working in five languages and liaising closely with the Cyprus government’s Press and Information Office as well as Ministries and EU offices in Brussels.”
