NEW YORK—Ketchum has elected 11 new partners, including Matt Afflixio, president of Access Communications, based in San Francisco; Marc Drechsler, head of financial communications, based in New York; Kim Essex, director of the North America food and nutrition practice, based in Chicago; Bill Reihl, managing director of the global brand marketing practice, based in New York; Kiersten Zweibaum, director of client development, New York; Lynn Farley, Asia Pacific chief financial officer, based in Los Angeles; and Bill Visone, chief financial officer, based in New York.

NEW YORK—Mike Azzi has joined Hill+Knowlton Strategies as a senior vice president leading the firm's New York tech practice. He reports to New York general manager Chris Winans and will work closely with US technology practice Leader Jodi Baumann. A 16-year veteran of the IBM communications team, Mike most recently led external communications for cloud computing. Previously he was the communications lead for IBM's start-up Smarter Commerce Initiative.

WASHINGTON, DC—The Glover Park Group has hired Tod Preston as senior vice president in the government affairs practice. He will focus primarily on foreign policy, national security and international development issues. Preston was most recently director of government relations for the US Global Leadership Coalition, where he spent five years leading operations for a coalition of more than 400 major US corporations and NGOs advocating for foreign assistance. Prior to joining the USGLC, Preston was vice president for US government relations at Population Action International and a congressional liaison and speechwriter at the US Patent & Trademark Office. 

NEW YORK—Porter Novelli has hired Tamar Anitai as senior vice president, content strategy, and Diana Scott has been hired as senior vice president, health and wellness. Both are based in the agency's New York office. Anitai comes to Porter Novelli from Viacom, where she spent eight years leading, developing and executing content strategy for MTV's millennial audience. Most recently, Scott served as senior vice president at Weber Shandwick, following roles at MS&L and Ruder Finn. In addition, Henry Engleka has been promoted to executive vice president, health and wellness.

NEW YORK—Exposure has appointed former PR director Matt Arrowsmith as partner and communications director and John Benson as managing director of the firm’s New York office. Benson, who most recently served as digital director for Los Angeles-based fashion label Band Of Outsiders joins Arrowsmith and managing partner/creative director Tom Phillips to lead more than 75 employees in Exposure’s New York office. Arrowsmith will now oversee the agency’s consumer, lifestyle and fashion accounts.
