NEW YORK—Finn Partners has hired Lisa Martins as vice president in the agency’s health practice. Prior to joining Finn, Martins served as vice president at Ogilvy Public Relations and as a senior director at Burson-Marsteller, where she worked on health-awareness campaigns for global pharmaceutical brands.
SAN FRANCISCO—Andrea Carrothers has been named senior vice president in the San Francisco office of FoodMinds, working on the firm’s food+tech and nutrition+sustainability clients. She joins from the Washington, DC, office of Porter Novelli. In addition, Laura Hershey has joined as vice president from Daisy Brand, where she served as health and nutrition manager. The firm has also promoted Bree Flammini is promoted to senior vice president in Chicago.
LOS ANGELES—Wagstaff Worldwide, a specialist in travel and hospitality marketing, has appointed Melendy Britt as executive director for its Los Angeles office. She joins Wagstaff Worldwide from Edelman Los Angeles, at which she led the consumer practice as executive vice president. Earlier, in Europe, she opened the office of M&C Saatchi PR Spain and was director of brand experience at Weber Shandwick in Madrid. Britt started her career leading the consumer marketing division at Ogilvy Public Relations in Spain.
BOSTON—JPA Health Communications has added Sally Bain as a senior vice president in its Boston office. Prior to joining JPA, Bain was the co-lead at the Boston-based healthcare practice of Racepoint Group. She has also held positions with Schwartz MSL and Feinstein Kean.
NEW YORK—JConnelly—formerly JCPR—has tapped 25-year media veteran Ray Hennessey, the former editorial director of Entrepreneur, to serve in the newly created role of chief innovation officer, charged with developing cutting-edge technology platforms and content systems both for the agency and its clients. Prior to Entrepreneur, Hennessey helped launch the Fox Business Network, where he served as founding business news director.
MIAMI—República, a leading cross-cultural advertising, digital and communications agency, has appointed Anthony Bianco as executive vice president and general manager, a newly created position.
Prior to República, Bianco served as managing partner at Naked Communications in New York, working with clients including Absolut, Virgin Atlantic, Mount Gay Rum, eBay, and Danone. Prior to Naked, he served a 14-year tenure at WPP’s Berlin Cameron United.
