NEW YORK — G&S Business Communications has appointed Marjani Williams (pictured) as VP of DE&I. Williams, who joined G&S in 2021, will assume leadership of the G&S DE&I Task Force and report directly to CEO Luke Lambert. She will also work in partnership with other agency leaders including principals and managing directors to support the development of strategic action plans, DEI-related policies and internal communications. She is the first person to serve in the newly created role.

WASHINGTON — ROKK Solutions has hired Elizabeth Northrup to serve as the firm’s first agency-wide chief client officer. Northrup brings more than 25 years of experience to the role. Prior to joining ROKK, Northrup spent much of her career as a communications counselor at several large multinational communications firms. Most recently, Northrup served as executive VP of corporate affairs at BCW Global.

NEW YORK — Bill George, former chairman and chief executive of Medtronic, has joined FGS Global, as a senior advisor of the company. George has served on the boards of Goldman Sachs, Exxon Mobil, Target, Novartis AG and Mayo Clinic. He is the author of several books on business leadership, including True North, and has won numerous awards including the Page Society’s Larry Foster Award for Integrity in Public Communication.

COLUMBUS, OHIO — Paul Werth Associates has promoted Julie Granillo to president of the strategic communications firm. In her new role, Granillo will oversee Werth’s senior leadership team and drive the company’s business strategy. She joined Paul Werth in 2019 after holding executive positions within the Nashville health care, hospital and tech industries.
