DALLAS—Allison+Partners has appointed Tony Katsulos to lead the agency’s Dallas office. Katsulos has experience working with clients in technology, healthcare, retail, hospitality, financial services and energy industries. Most recently, Katsulos owned and operated Jetstream Communications, a Dallas-based public relations firm that worked primarily with healthcare and technology companies. Prior to Jetstream, he served as a senior vice president and partner at Fleishman-Hillard in Dallas.

CHARLOTTE—Taylor has promoted longtime agency executives Maeve Hagen and Mike Costabile. Hagen fills the newly-created position of president of Taylor’s Charlotte, NC. office, and Costabile has been named a managing partner of the agency in New York. Hagen, most recently a senior vice president at Taylor, joined the agency in 2007 following an internship in the New York office. Costabile, who previously served as executive vice president, will continue leading the agency’s Diageo account.

NEW YORK—WE Communications executive vice president Bill Schultz has relocated to New York from the Pacific Northwest, bringing experience in integrated brand storytelling campaigns, corporate communications, executive communications and product communications. He has served a wide portfolio of clients at WE including Microsoft, T-Mobile and Volvo. WE has also hired Lamar Dawson as an account manager and Julia Mangin as a senior account executive.

MINNEAPOLIS—John Himle, founder and CEO of Himle Rapp & Company (now Rapp Strategies) is joining Padilla as executive vice president and senior counsel. Himle brings more than 35 years of experience in strategic counsel, public affairs, enterprise risk management, corporate reputation and crisis management across several sectors including transportation, financial services, health care, regulated industries, agribusiness, energy and environmental. Himle also served five terms as a member of the Minnesota House of Representatives.

GRAND RAPIDS, MI—Lambert Edwards & Associates has promoted Heather Lombardini to senior director, Sawyer Lipari to director and Valerie Pesonen to senior associate. Lombardini joined the Sterling Corporation, a division of LE&A, in 2015 and currently manages the firm’s fundraising practice. Since joining LE&A in 2016, Lipari has supported clients in healthcare, consumer, education and nonprofit sectors. Pesonen joined LE&A in 2013 and works with a wide range of industries, including food and beverage, non-profit, pharmaceutical and education.

NEW YORK—Sharp Communications has named Laura Mortensen as the new president of the agency. Mortensen (formerly Laura Halsch) joined Sharp in 2011 as digital director and helped launch the firm’s social media practice. Prior to Sharp, Mortensen served as digital strategist at Ogilvy Public Relations and as senior digital strategist at MWWPR, both located in New York City. 

NEW YORK—North 6th Agency has hired Karen Mateo as senior vice president. Mateo will be based in N6A's headquarters office in New York and comes to N6A after spending the past 20 years at CBS Corporation in a variety of senior communication positions. Most recently, Mateo served as senior vice president of communications at CBS Radio, where she directed the creation and execution of the division's earned media strategy, as well as conceptualized communications plans for CBS Radio's 117 stations in 26 markets across the United States.
