CHICAGO — Mike Fair is joining Current Global as executive VP, strategic planning. Fair (pictured) will refine the agency’s strategic approach and process to ensure ideas resonate across channels, content, and tactics to earn both immediate attention and lasting connections. He will oversee strategy across Current Global’s North America corporate, consumer, and healthcare practice groups. Fair most recently was executive director, strategy and insights at VMLY&R. He succeeds Eddie Garrett, who left the agency in March.

MEXICO CITY — Edelman has named Pablo Ferrari as its new executive creative director in Mexico. Ferrari will lead Edelman’s team of creative, designers and copywriters in Mexico. His responsibilities also include integrating the firm’s Latin American creative teams, which are led by LatAm chief creative officer Natalia Benincasa. Ferrari joins after eight years with BBDO, where he served most recently as executive creative director.

WASHINGTON — ROKK Solutions has hired Kristen Smith and Mike Waterman as senior VPs. Smith brings public affairs expertise gleaned over more than two decades in the industry. She most recently served as Edelman Global Advisory’s head of health public affairs and policy communications. Waterman joins after spending more than a decade with BCW (and its predecessor Burson-Marsteller) as a managing director.

NEW YORK — Small Girls PR has added three new hires to their team. They are senior VP Selmin Arat Latz, who is leading two teams at SGPR with a focus on the fashion, beauty & lifestyle industries; associate director Molly Masi, who will join the creative strategy and earned media team for SGPR's P&G business; and senior account executive Jessica Fischberg, who has joined the beauty team as a media relations expert.

SAN FRANCISCO — Hotwire has expanded its team with three new hires.  They are VP Paul Day, who joins from the Bulleit Group and will focus on B2B tech clients; and Michael Donato and Martin Diaz-Valdes, who have joined the global growth team as junior data analysts. Donato and Diaz-Valdes will support Hotwire’s data and analytics efforts.
