WASHINGTON, DC—A month after appointing Brad Staples as its chief executive, succeeding founder Margery Kraus, APCO Worldwide has formed a new global leadership team, naming Nelson Fernandez, managing director of the New York office, as chairman of North America and Nicolas Bouvier, managing director of the Paris office as chairman of Europe.

Fernandez and Bouvier will be responsible for inter-office collaboration and multi-office initiatives in their respective regions in addition to expanding the services of the firm and growing the firm’s business in North America and Europe.

Staples, who will become the firm’s CEO effective January 5, along with Margery Kraus, who will become executive chairman, and Neal Cohen, vice chairman of the board and president of global client strategy, will also join the leadership team.

Other members include Alicia Peterson Clark, deputy managing director, Washington, DC; Linda Du, managing director, Shanghai; Mara Hedgecoth, senior director, global marketing and communication; Evan Kraus, president and managing director of operations; Kathryn Medina, chief talent officer; Mamoon Sbeih, managing director of the Arab region; Denise Teeling, chief financial officer; Mike Tuffin, managing director, Washington, DC; Martina Tydecks, executive director  and secretary; and Garry Walsh, managing director, Southeast Asia.
