The firm has also promoted Karen Dunnicliff to associate director and head of Sefiani’s professional services practice and Jessie Davis to account director. And Sefiani has expanded its national and trans-Tasman service capability through affiliations with corporate and public affairs firm Clifton Group in Melbourne and leading New Zealand communications firm Anthem.

NEW DELHI—Danone India, the wholly owned subsidiary of French multinational Danone, has awarded its PR mandate to First Partners following a competitive multi-agency pitch. First Partners would be responsible for managing corporate reputation for Danone in India along with brand PR and health communications support for the company's nutrition and dairy portfolio.

SYDNEY—InterContinental Hotels Group has appointed Chris Waite as director of communications, Australasia and Japan. Waite will lead the communications function for IHG and its core brands—InterContinental Hotels and Resorts, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Express, Hotel Indigo and EVEN Hotels, as well as elevating IHG’s industry thought leadership. Prior to his appointment, Waite led the Amadeus Asia Pacific communications team headquartered in Bangkok.

NEW DELHI—Weber Shandwick has named Arpana Kumar Ahuja as head of integration, strategy and marketing development for Weber Shandwick India. Most recently, Ahuja was chief growth officer at PR Pundit, prior to which she was the director of communications at  Encyclopedia Britannica.
