BEIJING—Paul Yang has been appointed general manager of Ruder Finn Beijing, reporting to Elan Shou, managing director and senior vice-president, Ruder Finn China. Yang will focus on broadening the agency’s client base in Beijing and strengthening Ruder Finn’s four pillars: health and wellness, corporate and public trust, technology and innovation and consumer lifestyle. Yang has worked with Ruder Finn for close to a decade, working across the aviation and logistics, automotive, energy, finance, healthcare, travel and tourism, technology and the public sectors with clients such as Boeing, DHL, Emirates, Michelin, BP, Citi, Visa, Novartis, Canadian Tourism Commission, Chongqing Liangjiang New Area and the Singapore Economic Development Board.

SHANGHAI—Burson-Marsteller China has appointed David Zhao as executive vice president, based in Shanghai and reporting to Burson-Marsteller China CEO and Market Leader Chris Deri. In addition, Zhao will lead the Burson-Marsteller China crisis group, expanding the firm’s external crisis training and preparedness offering.
