HONG KONG — Porsche China Motors has handed Ruder Finn its Hong Kong PR business after a pitch involving local and international agencies. This is the first time Porsche China has awarded a retainer contract to an agency for the Hong Kong market. The scope of work includes corporate communications, integrated media communications, media workshops and dealers’ event support, for all model lines and motorsports. Porsche China will also tap into Ruder Finn Asia’s social media expertise and integrated capabilities.

MUMBAI — Mercedes-Benz has awarded the mandate to manage its public relations and communications in India to Adfactors PR. The mandate covers strategic counsel and planning, media relations, issues and crisis management, advocacy and integrated campaign development for Mercedes-Benz India and its products across segments.

MUMBAI — Kavita Lakhani has been promoted from president to executive director of MullenLowe Lintas Group’s PR firm, GolinOpinion. Lakhani has been with the agency for 16 years and is noted for being instrumental in its growth.


NOIDA, INDIA — First Partners has won the public relations mandate for mobile financier Home Credit India. First Partners was selected following a multi-agency pitch. The mandate encompasses a communication spectrum spanning reputation building, brand amplification and building a 360-degree communication programme covering all organizational functions.

SYDNEY — InterContinental Sydney has engaged independent corporate and consumer PR agency DEC PR to lead all Australian public relations activity, following a competitive tender process last month. The hotel will be undergoing a multimillion-dollar transformational renovation project later this year.

HONG KONG — Sinclair has joined forces with Tribe Global, the global network of independent communications agencies and business partners, and will be connecting members with the APAC region as the first Asia-born integrated PR agency member.  This collaboration is effective 15 May 2019 and will include Sinclair’s hubs in Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Beijing.
