SYDNEY — Sandpiper has appointed Jasmine Hogg to the role of general manager for Australia following significant growth in the market. Her appointment bolsters Sandpiper’s presence in the ANZ region, adding senior expertise to the firm’s local offering. Hogg brings more than 20 years of experience in media and corporate affairs helping organisations around the world prepare and respond effectively to crises and hostile campaigns. Prior to joining Sandpiper, she was director and head of reputation risk for Apollo Communications.

SYDNEY — Jack Morton and Weber Shandwick have announced key promotions for their creative team, including a new executive director for ideas. Luke Clifton will now lead the ideas, strategy and content teams that serve both agencies as he continues to build a collaborative creative architecture that unlocks the potential of the two agency disciplines. Clifton will join Vinny Panchal (group managing director) and Helen Graney (chief executive officer) and sit on the local executive team overseeing the two agencies in Australia.  Paul Cotton will support Clifton as the new head of ideas following a successful run of award-winning work. Cotton will be focused on creative innovation, including supporting developments for Web 3.0. The agency also promoted Jackson Holst to creative director, his second promotion with the agency in less than two years. In addition to the promotions, Caitlin McStay and Tom Betsis-Duncan have joined as creative associates as the agency continues to invest in emerging creative talent.

SINGAPORE —  Rice has added five new partners to its business. The long-term senior employees join founder Sonya Madeira and managing partner James Brasher as owners of the firm. They are Neil Mirano, director of client services; Donna Garcia, director and general manager, Myanmar (pictured); Mayda Jutahkiti, general manager, Singapore; Agung S. Ongko, director, strategy and insights; and Chai Zixin, director of growth.

SINGAPORE — APRW Pte Ltd has partnered with India-headquartered PRHUB to launch a specialised communications practice targeted at start-ups looking to expand within and beyond the Asia-Pacific region. The new practice is established under US-headquartered IPREX, the international communications network, and will be led by Anu Gupta, director of APRW and Xavier Prabhu, regional president for APAC, IPREX and founder and managing director of PRHUB. The specialised communications practice will provide a full suite of communications services for start-ups by leveraging IPREX’s global network of communication partners and tapping upon the expertise of Anu and Xavier.
