DELHI — Avian WE digital arm EXPD has been hired by the Indian government to manage social media related to the country’s 2023 G20 presidency.

The G20 Secretariat awarded EXPD the business after hearing proposals from more than 15 agencies that participated in a competitive review.

EXPD’s remit includes having a 10-person, round-the-clock team managing and analyzing India’s G20 presidency’s online presence.

India assumed the presidency of G20 — the group of 19 countries and EU that works to address major issues — last December and will retain the role through November.

As president, India is responsible for steering the G20 agenda throughout the year and host the 18th annual G20 leaders’ summit in New Delhi Sept. 9-10.
