LONDON—British clothing brand Barbour has brought in Exposure to handle public relations duties.

After winning the business in a competitive pitch, Exposure’s remit will encompass PR and strategic consultancy for both the Barbour and Barbour International brands.

A fifth generation family-owned British business that is sold in over 40 countries worldwide, Barbour aims to become the UK's leading international lifestyle brand by 2020. Best known for its iconic outerwear, Barbour will collaborate later this year with Christopher Ræburn on a special womenswear collection inspired by the brand's military archives.

"During the pitch they demonstrated a good understanding of our two brands, Barbour and Barbour International and presented some strong creative ideas," said Barbour head of global marketing Paul Wilkinson. "They have excellent media contacts and I am confident that they can assist us in achieving our vision of becoming the best British lifestyle brand worldwide by 2020.”
