NEW YORK — Licy Do Canto, a veteran of public policy and healthcare communications, has joined BCW to lead policy strategy for the agency’s healthcare clients.

Do Canto has formally joined BCW’s US public affairs and crisis practice as an executive VP and managing director.

He brings to the role more than two-decades of experience working in governmental, nonprofit and communications organizations.For the last nine years, Do Canto has run his own public policy, public affairs and communications firm, the Do Canto Group, and co-led The Raben Group’s healthcare practice before that.

Earlier in his career, Do Canto held a number of leadership positions including CEO of AIDS Alliance for Children, Youth & Families, the National Association of Community Health Centers director of federal affairs and founder and chair of Partnership for Medicaid.
