NEW YORK—Brunswick Group has added Bethany Sherman and Chrysta Castañeda as partners in the United States. Sherman, who is based in New York, will advise on corporate clients and issues and strengthen Brunswick’s expertise in the financial institutions sector. Castañeda will join the Dallas office, bringing more than 20 years of trial and litigation experience.

Sherman was most recently chief communications officer at Dow Jones, where she built a centralized, global communications function for Dow Jones’ brands, including The Wall Street Journal, Barron’s and Dow Jones Newswires. Prior to Dow Jones, she served as senior vice president for corporate communications at NASDAQ OMX and spent more than 10 years in leadership roles at communications agencies including Middleberg Euro RSCG.

Castañeda joins Brunswick from Locke Lord, an American Lawyer AmLaw 100 law firm, where for the past 10 years she was a senior litigation partner serving her clients as lead trial attorney in highly publicized litigation. Prior to Locke Lord, she was a partner at Arter & Hadden and an associate at Jones Day.
