WASHINGTON, DC—Burson-Marsteller has name Ann Davison as chair, US public affairs and crisis practice. Davison will work closely with US chief executive Dave DenHerder and US president Michael Law helping Burson-Marsteller’s diverse client portfolio achieve their objectives in the public policy environment.
Davison joins Burson-Marsteller from FleishmanHillard’s Vox Global, where she served as senior partner and managing director. Before that, she spent seven years with FleishmanHillard, most recently as senior partner and deputy general manager, managing accounts in the agency’s Washington, DC, and Miami offices.
From 1995 to 2000, Davison was communications director for The Globe Program, an initiative of the Clinton-Gore White House designed to leverage the introduction of Internet-based learning to improve K-12 science education. Earlier in her career, she was a special assistant at the US Environmental Protection Agency, where she worked on the development of major food safety reform proposals.
She also spent six years on Capitol Hill as a legislative aide in the offices of U.S. Senators Lawton Chiles and Bob Graham of Florida.
