NEW YORK — Ogilvy Consulting global CEO Carla Hendra will be retiring after 28 years with the firm.

“After 28 years at Ogilvy, I will retire in January 2024 with incredible memories of traveling the globe to work with the most iconic brands, greatest clients, smartest and most creative people, and literally laughing every step of the way,” Hendra wrote in a LinkedIn post.

Hendra has held a range of leadership positions during her tenure at Ogilvy. She has led Ogilvy Consulting, the company’s global growth and innovation consulting arm, for the last 13 years. She previously served as co-CEO of Ogilvy North America and president of Ogilvy One in North America.

Over the years she helped launch offerings from Ogilvy Entertainment, the agency’s first foray into branded content, to a media practice that evolved into Neo, now a part of GroupM.

“Is Carla Hendra a strategist? Is she a client leader? Is she a CEO? Is she a consultant? There is only one title that adequately describes her – icon,” said Ogilvy global CEO Devika Bulchandani.

“She has had one of the most iconic careers and it is hard to capture the impact she has had on the agency. Always an innovator, her curiosity and entrepreneurial spirit repeatedly helped develop offerings that always kept Ogilvy on the cutting edge. There are many ‘Carlas’ in the world, but there is only one Carla Hendra. While she is starting a new chapter, she will always remain a part of our Ogilvy family,” she said.
