NEW YORK —  Former Ferrero US comms lead Cheryll Forsatz has joined Zeno as managing director of Zeno East.

Forsatz will oversee teams in New York and Washington and will also be a member of the firm’s global leadership team. She reports to newly appointed US president Grant Deady.

Meantime, Byron Calamese, who has led Zeno East since 2019, has been promoted to global head of innovation. In the newly created role, Calamese will oversee Zeno’s digital experience and consumer brand marketing. He will continue to report to global CEO Barby Siegel.

Forsatz joins Zeno after more than five years at Italian confectionary company Ferrero, which she joined in 2018 as its first VP of corporate communications and public relations.

Before that, Forsatz was a senior VP at Ketchum, where she was responsible for the agency’s external communications. Earlier in her career, Forsatz was director of communications for McDonald’s New York metro region, as which she directed public relations, public affairs and crisis management activities.

“We conducted an exciting and wide-ranging search for a new Zeno East leader,” Deady said. “Cheryll’s client and agency perspective, love for the work and commitment to developing talent in a culture where all can thrive, made her the perfect choice to move Zeno East forward in new and meaningful ways.” .
