In this role, Morris will be responsible for the development and execution of Veracyte’s communications strategy to shareholders, customers, patients, employees and other audiences. She has served as a communications consultant to Veracyte for nearly 10 years and to other leading molecular diagnostics and health technology companies and start-ups since 2003.

NEW YORK — David Carmel has been appointed as senior VP, public affairs and communications for eGenesis, a biotechnology company focused on the development of safe and effective human-compatible organs to address the global organ shortage. Carmel will lead eGenesis’ external outreach efforts to advocacy organizations, professional societies, policymakers and investors. Prior to joining eGenesis, Carmel served as VP of medical affairs and strategic alliances at Atara Biotherapeutics.

NEW YORK — IMAX Corporation has named Brett Harriss as senior VP of investor relations. Harriss will oversee the company’s global investor relations strategy and serve as its lead with the investment community. Harriss joins IMAX from GAMCO Investors, where he spent more than a decade covering the media and entertainment industry, including eight years covering IMAX.
