WASHINGTON — Stephen Fitzmaurice has been named director of public affairs for the Credit Union National Association, the trade association advocating on behalf of America’s 110 million credit union members. Prior to joining CUNA, Fitzmaurice served as a communications specialist for the American Society of Hematology, leading advocacy communications, media relations and scientific writing for the world’s largest organization committed to conquering blood diseases.

TORONTO — The transport manufacturer Bombardier has appointed Sandra Buckler senior director, external affairs and public relations. Based in Buckler will be responsible for developing and supporting the company’s external communications activities, focusing on providing strategic communications across Bombardier businesses, media relations, as well as community and stakeholder engagement in Ontario. Buckler has garnered experience at senior levels in the private sector in Canada and in the United States, as well as in the Federal Government of Canada.

HOLLYWOOD, CA — VidCon, the conference for online video creators, has named Sarah Tortoreti as VP of marketing. Tortoreti joins VidCon from Nickelodeon where she served as director of marketing and brand strategy. 

NEW YORK — PRSA has named Torry Burdick its new chief marketing officer. Burdick is responsible for developing strategic integrated marketing programs to advance PRSA’s mission. She previously served as head of marketing  and executive VP of Vantage Production, which produces sales and marketing automation solutions for the financial services industry.
