ISLANDIA, NY—CA Technologies has named Ronald Alepian as senior vice president and chief communications officer. He replaces Bill Hughes, who took up a similar position at Pitney Bowes earlier this year. He joins CA from TMX Group, parent company of the Toronto Stock Exchange, where he had responsibility for communications and marketing for the company and all of its subsidiaries. Prior to TMX, Ronald held leadership roles at Nortel and Bell Canada and at National PR.

FINDLAY, OH—Marathon Petroleum Corporation has appointed Pamela Beall as senior vice president, corporate planning, government and public affairs. Beall began her career with Marathon in 1978. After several positions of increasing responsibilities within Marathon, she transferred to USX in 1985 as general manager, Treasury Services. Prior to rejoining Marathon in 2002, she held senior financial positions at NationsRent, Inc. and OHM Corporation. Since 2002, she has held numerous positions, most recently as vice president, investor relations and government and public affairs in July 2011.

NORWALK, CT—The Financial Accounting Foundation, parent organization of the Financial Accounting Standards Board and the Governmental Accounting Standards Board, has named Robert Stewart to the new position of senior vice president, public affairs. Stewart will be responsible for the Foundation's communications, external relations, and government affairs activities. He joined the FAF in 2011 as vice president, communications. Grace Hinchman will continue in her role of vice president, government affairs and external relations.

LOS ANGELES—LA Marathon has named Carsten Preisz as its vice president of brand strategy and marketing, leading marketing and business development opportunities both in the US and on a global basis. Preisz comes to ASICS LA Marathon from Freemark Entertainment, a sports and entertainment marketing agency, where he was a partner. He has also held executive positions with brands including Bentley, Rolls-Royce, Spyker and Bang & Olufsen.

TORONTO—ISIS Lab Corporation has appointed Michele Clayborne as vice president of public relations and branding. Prior to joining Isis Lab, Clayborne was the consulting head of global public relations for Full Tilt Poker, driving awareness of FTP's partnership campaigns with brands such as the MMA, Virgin Atlantic's Formula One Grand Prix Racing Team, and the Sundance Film Festival. She also served as vice president of consumer and entertainment with Fleishman-Hillard International Communications in Los Angeles.
