PALO ALTO—Dave Arnold has been named global communications director at Tesla, the automotive and energy storage company co-founded by Elon Musk. Arnold joins from Virgin America, recently acquired by Alaska Airlines, where he was director of corporate communications. Earlier in his career, he worked at MWW.

PLANO, TX—Tim Morrison has been named vice president, corporate communications for Toyota Motor North America. He is responsible for executive, internal and marketing communications; digital and social media channels and content; media relations; stakeholder relations; and policy communications. Prior to his new position, Morrison served as vice president of guest experience and retention for Toyota Motor Sales and was responsible for Toyota division sales loyalty and service retention.

WASHINGTON, DC—The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority has promoted Marcia Asquith to executive vice president, board and external relations. Asquith will oversee investor education, member relations and education, government affairs and corporate communications. She joined FINRA in 2001 as director of government relations. Josh Drobnyk has been named senior vice president for corporate communications. Drobnyk comes to FINRA from the US Department of the Treasury where he served as the principal deputy assistant secretary for public affairs and most recently as deputy chief of staff.

WASHINGTON, DC—The National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation has named Gordon Lambourne vice president of communications.  In his new role, Lambourne will lead the NRAEF's overall communications strategy, including media relations, campaign development, social media and digital storytelling and content creation. Prior to joining the Foundation, Lambourne served as senior vice president of global public relations for Marriott International.
