Richard Jones, senior vice president and chief communications officer, Guardian Life; Torod Neptune, corporate vice president, communications, Verizon Communications; Adrian Rodriguez, senior vice president and chief communications officer, MetLife; Oscar Suris, executive vice president, corporate communications, Wells Fargo; and Richard White, vice president, corporate communications, Wisconsin Energy will each serve a three-year term.

COLUMBUS, IN—Cummins, a leader in the design, manufacture, distribution and service of engines and related technologies, has named Carole Casto as executive director of corporate communications. Casto currently serves as director of community engagement in corporate responsibility and was previously director of the company's Six Sigma program, which seeks to improve the quality of Cummins' processes. She will continue working on some key Corporate Responsibility initiatives as she makes the transition to her new role.

DOWNERS GROVE, IL—CompTIA, the trade association for the world's information technology industry, has appointed Ann Batko as its new senior vice president for marketing and communications, responsible for global marketing strategy as well as marketing and corporate communications functions, including advertising, branding, social media and corporate communications. Before joining CompTIA, Batko was senior director of communications and brand management for CDW, a leading IT solutions provider. Earlier in her career, she was the senior vice president of marketing and corporate communications at Rand McNally & Co.

NEW YORK—Anti-poverty charity Robin Hood has added Patty Smith as managing director for marketing and communications. Smith joins Robin Hood after 10 years in Seattle as director of global corporate communications for Amazon.com, where she developed communications relating to employee issues, operations, financial reporting, internet security, consumer privacy and public affairs. She was also responsible for developing and implementing Amazon's communication strategy for its global philanthropic and green initiatives.

MIAMI—CareCloud, a leading provider of cloud-based practice management, medical billing and electronic health record software and services, has appointed John Hallock as vice president of corporate communications. Hallock will join the company's executive leadership team and report to President and CEO Albert Santalo. Prior to joining CareCloud, he was director of global corporate communications for athenahealth and earlier worked at Weber Shandwick Worldwide, Brodeur Worldwide and Schwartz MSL.

OXFORD, NC—Wil Glenn has joined the Biofuels Center of North Carolina as director of communications and public affairs. Glenn most recently served as public affairs manager with Wake County Government, where he functioned as the liaison for the county’s elected officials, county manager, and department heads. Previously, Glenn was a public information specialist for Durham County.
