PHILADELPHIA—Comcast has promoted John Demming to vice president, corporate and financial communications, and Kirsten Siegel to vice president, internal communications. Denning manages communications with the media on quarterly earnings, programming content, mergers and acquisitions, shareholder initiatives and other corporate transactions and works on executive speeches. Siegel oversees internal communications and helps drive engagement initiatives for the company’s corporate and cable employees.

PORTLAND, OR—Standard Insurance Company has promoted Amy Malagamba to second vice president of corporate communications
. In her new role, Malagamba will manage The Standard’s internal communications activities. she joined The Standard in 2013 and most recently served as senior internal communications manager for the company. She has also held leadership positions at Tektronix and Mentor Graphics.

WASHINGTON, DC—The National Retail Federation has added veteran consumer issues expert Ana Serafin Smith to its communications team. Smith joins NRF as senior director of media relations and will be responsible for media relations on topics including retail sales and trends, consumer issues, NRF conferences and promotion of the industry. She comes to NRF from 1-800-Flowers.com, where she worked in media relations, and previously worked in communications for Anheuser-Busch.
