SINGAPORE — Wilson Del Socorro has been named Diageo's new corporate relations director in Asia-Pacific, replacing Paul Kelleher.

Del Socorro relocates to Singapore from London, where he was most recently Diageo's global director of government affairs. His 10-year career with Diageo includes a number of policy and public affairs roles in Asia and the UK.

“Wilson brings with him extensive public policy experience and industry knowledge as well as a strong track record of leading teams beyond borders,” said Sam Fischer, president of Asia-Pacific and global travel at Diageo.

Kelleher, meanwhile, departs after six and a half years with Diageo, including five as Asia-Pacific corporate relations director.

Del Socorro's new role will see him work with regional and market teams to lead Diageo’s corporate relations agenda across public policy and government affairs, communications, and responsibility and sustainability. He will also play a leadership role in driving the spirits giant's 'Spirit of Progress 2030' plan, which aims to help create a more inclusive and sustainable world.

Before joining Diageo, Del Socorro was with KPMG Australia, providing public policy and government relations advisory services to multinational clients across a range of industries.
