NEW YORK — Book publisher The Folio Society has hired Diffusion as its PR agency of record.

Folio, which publishes illustrated hardbacks, has charged Diffusion with highlighting its mission of making its books — classics, contemporary and children’s —  into works of art through detailed design and craftsmanship. Through media relations, product seeding and book launches, Diffusion’s campaign also will spotlight Folio’s sustainability efforts as a B-Corp business.

There was no incumbent agency.

“Every Folio book is a labor of love and borderline obsession. We publish books that are exquisite aesthetically, but equally they are designed to be read. In a digital age, we’re committed to creating a tangible product with lasting craftmanship,” said Folio Society CEO Joanna Reynolds. “Diffusion has a proven attention to detail, a deep understanding of the consumer mindset, and an ability to place our product into the hands of those who will enjoy it most.”

Folio is an independent employee-owned publisher.  The London-based company was founded in 1947.
