COLUMBUS, OH—Former Carmichael Lynch Spong chief executive Doug Spong has joined Ohio agency Fahlgren Mortine in an of-counsel role.
Spong, who founded Spong PR, merged it with local ad agency Carmichael Lynch, and went on to become managing partner and president of the merged entity, stepped down from that role at the end of 2015.
He has since founded The Doug Spong Co., which he says will help agencies “define their purpose, articulate a clear brand position and develop go-to-market strategies that ignite their growth.”
Spong will be working with Fahlgren Mortine to further refine the agency’s positioning and go-to-market strategies as well as to spur growth through business development.
Fahlgren Mortine is an integrated agency with $31 million in revenue and 225 employees across 13 offices, providing PR, advertising, digital and social to 100 clients.
