BERLIN—Alexander Reinhardt has been appointed as head of public affairs, Germany, for EADS, responsible for the aerospace company’s relations with public sector and political organisations and institutions in Germany, particularly the German government and the German parliament.

Based in Berlin, Reinhardt will be reporting directly to EADS CEO Tom Enders and succeeds Ditmar Staffelt, who will continue to support EADS as an advisor in future. Reinhardt has been head of corporate media relations since 2009, bearing responsibility for the global media activities of the EADS Group.

Philippe Bottrie is the new head of political affairs, France, also reporting directly to Enders and responsible for the group’s relations with the French government. He succeeds François Desprairies, who has moved to Airbus as head of public affairs. After first being responsible for Eurocopter’s relations with public-sector and political organisations and institutions in France, Bottrie was appointed director of international strategic business at EADS in 2011.
