LONDON — Ranieri Agency, which specialises in the consumer, technology and gaming sectors, been chosen to handle UK communications for global technology brand Asus (pictured) after a competitive pitch which included incumbent Hotwire. The agency’s roster also includes De’Longhi, Kenwood, Braun and JBL. Ranieri takes up responsibility for PR and influencer services for Asus Systems including press office, review programmes, product launches, lifestyle campaigns, event support and partnerships across PC, gaming and laptops.

LONDON — Juice brand Tropicana has appointed Stir PR as its PR partner to handle consumer campaigns and trade press office for 2023. The agency will work as part of an integrated agency team – including sister agency Communicator – to drive brand awareness for Tropicana in the UK. The brand joins Moët Hennessy UK and Taco Bell on Stir’s client roster.

DUBAI — According to the latest PRCA MENA PR and communications census, carried out by YouGov, 90% of PR and communications professionals in the Middle East and North Africa adopted some form of flexible working in 2022, with a 25% increase in the number of practitioners now working remotely full-time. The research also reveals the scale of work still needed to bridge the gap in gender equality in MENA. When asked to rate the industry’s approach to promoting women to leadership positions, ‘good’ and ‘very good’ responses reduced from 52% in 2021 to 39% in 2022.

OXFORD — Travel PR and content marketing specialist Lemongrass Marketing has been hired by the Vienna Tourism Board. The agency will handle all UK consumer communications and will also be responsible for promoting Vienna’s meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions offering.

HolidayPirates already operates across Germany, Austria, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Spain and Switzerland, and the agency will support the company as it steps up its presence in the UK, via press office and campaigns. Lucre’s travel client roster also includes Jet2.com, Great Rail Journeys, Holiday Extras and Park Plaza Hotels.
