LONDON — Visit St. Pete/Clearwater (pictured), the official destination marketing organisation of Pinellas County, Florida, has appointed Rooster as its integrated PR and marketing agency across the UK, Ireland and Scandinavia after a competitive pitch. The five-year contract builds on the agency’s ten-year partnership with the destination and includes PR and an expanded calendar of marketing campaigns working with tour operators, airlines, and brand partners.

LONDON — Performance-driven marketing and communications consultancy Hard Numbers has been appointed as PR lead by Mission Labs’ cloud-based phone system business CircleLoop after a competitive pitch. Hard Numbers will build brand awareness and generate new commercial interest in the UK SME market.

LONDON — Post-purchase experience platform ParcelLab has appointed Diffusion to amplify its profile in the UK and increase demand, targeting C-suite, e-commerce and marketing audiences through creative content and thought leadership. Having engaged Diffusion US as its agency of record in May, ParcelLab has now expanded Diffusion’s remit to include the UK market, following the company’s Series C funding of $112 million earlier this year. ParcelLab already works with brands including Farfetch, Hotel Chocolat and Bose.

LONDON — Creative and professional services group The Family has invested in Magic Digits, which specialises in management accounting for the creative services sector. The accountancy firm was launched by Rachael Marshall in 2021 and already provides accountancy and HR services to The Family and its companies including Hype Collective and Hard Numbers, as well as PR, branding and communications agencies including Don’t Cry Wolf, Glock, The Good Egg, BrandContent and Propel. The investment follows The Family’s announcement last summer that it would invest in entrepreneurial individuals, teams and opportunities in the marketing services sector.

LONDON — NHS-backed team culture platform Kaido has retained Words + Pixels to handle B2B communications as it looks to expand its offering in 2022. The platform works with the likes of Google, HSBC and the Department of Health and Social Care to create connections among colleagues through shared experiences and digital team building exercises. Words + Pixels will work with Kaido to drive trust and awareness, with a focus on ensuring team wellbeing is inclusive and accessible as organisations adapt to hybrid working.

LEEDS, UK — Leeds-based content production firm Cry Havoc and Sheffield-based brand and creative agency Born + Raised have merged to create a content creation agency, Ride Shotgun. The new 60-strong business will have a turnover of £6 million, with a client portfolio that includes PepsiCo, HSBC, Homebase, PZ Cussons Beauty and Premier Foods.
