LONDON — British operations management fintech Quorso has selected Don't Cry Wolf as its communications partner after a competitive pitch, to target the retail, restaurant, hotel, transport and logistics sectors. AMSTERDAM — Netflix EMEA corporate communications director Sarah Ryan, who joined the broadcaster two years ago after being head of external comms in Europe for Vodafone, is joining technology investment company Naspers as director of international media relations. Naspers has operations and investments in markets including China, India, Russia, Brazil and South Africa.

LONDON — Frank and Huawei brought the Northern Lights to London last week, to mark the UK launch of the new Huawei P30 Series mobile (pictured). Working with immersive artist Dan Acher, the team mounted a laser art installation above the Tower of London with a VIP event. Frank’s response to the brief to showcase the new phone’s camera included research which found that seeing the Northern Lights was top of young Brits’ bucket lists.

MADRID — Hill+Knowlton Strategies has appointed Gonzalo Lamas as head of financial communications. Lamas joins from Porter Novelli and previously worked at local agency Evercom. He has worked with clients including J.P. Morgan, Ibercaja, CNMV, INVERCO, EFPA, Aegon, Bestinver. In his role at H+K, Lamas will oversee the financial communication department's activity and advise clients at a strategic and tactical level.

LONDON — Healthcare comms specialist Health Unlimited has announced the expansion of Corkery Group Unlimited, its public health and policy specialist consultancy, to the UK with the addition of Claire Hoffman as Director of UK and EMEA. The London presence will complement Corkery’s New York headquarters. Hoffman was previously head of communications at Malaria No More UK, and has worked with organisations including WHO, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, UN Women and Save the Children.

LONDON — Healthcare specialist Consilium Strategic Communications has opened a US subsidiary and has appointed Catherine London as president of its US business, based in Connecticut. The new operation will support Consilium’s European and global healthcare clients with media management, strategic communications, financial communications, advocacy relations and transaction support. London was previously EVP and head of corporate communications and investor relations at Bioasis Technologies and has held senior roles at Alexion Pharmaceuticals and Boehringer Ingelheim.

LONDON — The Unmistakeables, the new agency made up of minorities, has partnered up with former Mischief MD and Freuds creative director Ben Brooks-Dutton to launch The Wokeshop: a service to help brands and senior marketing and comms people avoid the reputation damage of products and campaigns that might be perceived as tone deaf by minorities. The agency has also launched a new daily WhatsApp news service called Minoritease.

LONDON — Healthcare comms agency Publicis Resolute has appointed Nick Hoile as its first director of government affairs, focusing on global and European policy and politics. Hoile joins from MHP Communications, where he was a director. The agency has also hired Jake Davis as a director, from Havas Just, Cohn & Wolfe and Edelman. He will report into Ann Hughes, PR business unit director.

LONDON — Hendrick’s Gin has appointed the Red Consultancy to launch a new seasonal Midsummer Solstice gin after a competitive pitch. The PR and social media brief kicked off with a transformation of phone boxes into floral experiences in London, Brighton, Manchester, Edinburgh and Liverpool.

LONDON — Milk & Honey PR has appointed Ailene Barr as client manager to support the agency’s growth in its third year of business. Barr has spent the past five years in-house at uSwitch, most recently as PR manager for its domestic energy business.

ABERDEEN, UK — Aspectus Group, which specialises in financial services, energy, technology and engineering communications, has appointed Katherine Fair as senior brand strategist and content specialist. Fair has previously worked in energy, agency and government communications roles.

DUBLIN — PR360 is the newest addition to PROI Worldwide, the global partnership of 75 independent communications agencies. The Dublin agency was established eight years ago by Dan Pender, and now has a team of 25 across its corporate, public affairs and brand practices and in-house digital content studio.
