LONDON—Way To Blue, an international communications agency, has acquitted The Project Factory, a UK and Australian-based digital creative agency that will supplement Way To Blue's social and digital teams in London and quadruple the size of its Australian footprint. The social and content agency for ITV's Downton Abbey and more recently, The Last Kingdom, TPF's client list includes NBC Universal, Sony Pictures Television, Gogglebox, Channel 4, Hartswood Films, the BBC and in Australia, Channel 7, CSIRO, HCF, The George Institute, Network Ten, ABC and Australian Radio Network. TPF's UK team will move into WTB's Clerkenwell offices immediately and WTB's Australian team will take up residence in TPF's Sydney offices in the coming months.
LISBON—Lift World has hired Teresa Figueira as MD in charge of integration. Figueira joins from H+K Strategies, where she spent six years as GM in Portugal. "Teresa has a 360 vision of the marketing and communication areas and joined us to conclude the integration and the alignment of all Lift World areas of expertise, which I believe are the pillars of the agency of the future," said Lift World CEO Salvador da Cunha.
ZURICH—Caroline Hempstead has been appointed as head of communication, public affairs and sustainable development, of LafargeHolcim, reporting to CEO Eric Olsen. Since 2007, Hempstead has been responsible for the global corporate affairs team at pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca, where she also chaired the sustainability council. Prior to that, she spent 10 years at Royal Dutch Shell and held corporate affairs roles at Inchcape, the London Stock Exchange and Harrods.
LONDON—Chris Lee (pictured), who previously headed up digital skills development in more than 20 countries across EMEA, North America and APAC at Grayling, has launched Silvester and Finch, a new digital consultancy that will work with companies seeking to expand their digital marketing capabilities. It will provide hands-on training to PR agencies and other organisations in the fields of digital planning, strategy creation, content marketing, search engine optimisation, crisis and community management.
OXFORD—CubanEight has been appointed by cleaning services company Rentokil Initial UK following a competitive four-way pitch. The brief will see CubanEight raising brand awareness in the UK of two Rentokil Initial businesses. Rentokil Specialist Hygiene and Ambius, with campaigns including creative events, media relations and news announcements.
LONDON—Signal, a leader in real-time, people-based marketing, has appointed Nelson Bostock Unlimited as its UK PR agency following a competitive pitch. Nelson Bostock Unlimited's programme will focus on positioning Signal and its offering for the UK market, localising the company's messages for UK marketers and establishing a clear and credible thought leadership platform for the EMEA team.
