LONDON — Pharmaceutical company Bristol Myers Squibb has appointed Jagtar Dhanda as its policy advocacy and government affairs manager in the UK. Dhanda joins from pharma firm Pfizer, where he worked in policy and public affairs for the company’s rare diseases products. He has also worked in senior roles at Macmillan Cancer Support and NHS Digital.

LONDON — Technology startup Zobi has chosen Tin Man to launch its first consumer cyber security product, Hedgehog (pictured), in the UK after a competitive pitch. Described as a ‘digital guardian for the home’, Hedgehog detects and prevents suspicious activity and devices across the entire home WiFi network. The agency has been briefed to deliver strategic, insight-led creative campaigns as well as support on press office activity and influencer relations. Tin Man will work with digital and social agency Social Buff, strategic industrial design agency Blond and brand and design agency Onwards.

LONDON — Real-time sport updates and streaming service LiveScore has appointed sports specialist agency MatchFit as its retained PR agency following a competitive pitch. The agency will lead on communications and sponsorship PR activation for LiveScore, including its role as official global scoring partner of LaLiga in Spain. MatchFit recently announced the launch of LiveScore’s new free-to-air OTT live streaming service, which has initial rights to all matches in Italy’s Serie A football season.

LONDON — Global card issuing platform Marqeta has appointed B2B technology PR and content agency Spark Communications to manage its UK PR. The agency will work with the in-house team to define PR strategy, develop creative campaigns and execute media relations to position Marqeta as a thought leader and build its profile in Europe.

LONDON — Protium, which develops hydrogen and fuel cell technology to tackle carbon emissions, has appointed Bold White Space to support its marketing and communications after a competitive pitch. The agency, which was set up in May, will provide content, media relations and wider marketing expertise as it embarks on a major phase of growth following a successful fundraiser earlier this year. The work will be led by Bold White Space co-founder and managing director, Mike Robb, reporting to Protium CEO Chris Jackson.

LONDON — Travel, aviation, transport and sustainability PR specialist 8020 Communications has been appointed by aviation trade body The Air Charter Association to promote the charter industry to policymakers, stakeholders and the public, covering areas such as Covid-19 recovery, Brexit, tackling illegal charter and the importance of air charter to the global economy. The Association’s global membership includes 260 broker and operator organisations – encompassing cargo, airliner and business aviation charter – in the US, Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, Europe and the UK.
