LONDON—Simon Eaton, former Barclays managing director of corporate communications, corporate and investment banking, is to join Instinctif Partners, the international business communications consultancy. Eaton, who prior to Barclays was head of European media relations for Goldman Sachs, joins Instinctif as managing partner in the capital markets and corporate affairs practice. Based in London, he will report to Tim Fallon, CEO and managing partner.

LONDON—Barnardo’s, the UK's largest children's charity, has appointed Threepipe to help with a new marketing campaign that aims to demonstrate the role the charity plays in the lives of vulnerable children today. Threepipe will oversee blogger and influencer engagement for a social activation campaign titled The Nation’s Fridge Door, encouraging families and friends to talk and post about their children’s achievements on a virtual fridge door on the Barnardo’s website.

EDINBURGH—Corporate and public affairs firm Cicero Group, with offices in London, Brussels, New York and Singapore, has formed a partnership with Edinburgh’s Message Matters, in response to what the two firms believe will be increased interest in expanded geographic reach following the referendum on Scottish independent. The two firms will work together on behalf of clients whose interests straddle the internal borders of the UK.

LONDON—Grayling directors Nicky Law and Susan Hutchinson have been promoted to managing director brands and managing director international and network respectively and will both join the UK executive board. Law has worked at Grayling for almost five years and has supported and led teams for Pimm's, Pringles and Gordon's. Hutchinson has worked within the Huntsworth group for more than 10 years, helping secure international new business wins such as British Airways and Hilton Worldwide.

LONDON—Firefly Communications has been appointed as Comodo Group’s retained PR agency in the UK following a three-month campaign directed at UK resellers. Comodo provides businesses and consumers worldwide with security services, including SSL Certificate, PCI scanning, desktop security, and remote PC support. The UK brief will see Firefly leading Comodo’s digital communications and media relations activity across the company’s range of antivirus solutions.
