ZUG—Axon Communications, the healthcare PR specialist owned by Canada’s National Public Relations, has opened an office in Switzerland to support global and European head offices of Swiss-based clients. Axon has appointed Claire Olivia Williams—previously an independent consultant—as vice president to lead the Swiss business. Axon’s global footprint now expands to five countries: UK, US, Canada, Denmark and Switzerland.

LONDON—TVC Group has been brought on board to deliver an integrated communications campaign around Virgin Disruptors 2016, an event designed to bring together leaders who have disrupted industries and to provoke debate about key global issues. TVC has been tasked with positioning Virgin Disruptors as a hub for entrepreneurship, intrapreneurship and disruptive thinking.


HAMBURG—Lewis has recruited Britta Heer, most recently managing director and chief digital officer at Achtung and before that head of digital for Germany at Edelman, to launch its new Hamburg office. The firm has existing German offices in Munich, Frankfurt and Düsseldorf and will serve both technology and FMCG brands in the North German city


LONDON—Joey Jones, the former Sky political journalist and media adviser to Theresa May during her tenure as Home Secretary, is to be the new head of public affairs at Weber Shandwick. He replaces David Skelton, who joined Google earlier this year. Jones joined Sky News as a freelance reporter in 1999, covered Westminster for several years, and was appointed deputy political editor in 2010. He was assigned to David Cameron's campaign in 2010 and co-authored with Adam Boulton "Hung Together" about the campaign and the subsequent formation of the coalition government.


BUDAPEST—Eurocom Worldwide, the global PR network, has selected Vision Communications of Budapest, Hungary, as a new member agency for the Hungarian market. Vision was founded in 1999 and focuses primarily on B2B marketing communications, working with logistics, technology and healthcare clients.

LONDON—Nominet Trust has appointed technology PR agency Wildfire to position the social tech investor as the authoritative voice on social technology and digital engagement. Wildfire will blend technology expertise with content to put the focus on the projects funded by Nominet Trust. The agency will also help to raise the profile of Nominet Trust’s NT100, which brings inspiring social tech from anywhere in the world under the global spotlight.

FRANKFURT—Jacqueline Casini has been named head of corporate communications at Lufthansa Cargo, effective November 2016. She joins from the Erwin Hymer Group, one of Europe’s largest motor home and caravan manufacturers, where she is currently head of internal and external communications. She succeeds Michael Göntgens, who is taking up a senior communications role at Adam Opel.
