BRUSSELS — Dentons Global Advisors has appointed Tove Larsson as a partner in Brussels, where she will lead the FMCG practice. Larsson has more than 20 years’ experience in national, EU and global public affairs and advocacy. She was previously director of Public affairs at the Swedish Food Federation, and before that served as director of sustainability at FoodDrinkEurope and associate director at Weber Shandwick. She started her career as European Parliament advisor for the European Association for Bioindustries (EuropaBio).

FRANKFURT — Brunswick Group has appointed Christian Weyand to the newly-created role of managing partner, Germany, and Sabine Morgenthal as head of the Frankfurt office. Weyand, who has been with the consultancy as head of the Frankfurt office since 2002, will work closely with European managing partner Paul Scott and colleagues across the Berlin, Frankfurt and Munich offices. Morgenthal also joined Brunswick in 2002 and leads the firm’s financial institutions group in Germany, advising on domestic and cross-border M&A, IPOs, financial restructurings, and corporate positioning.

LONDON — Howard Jones has joined the UK’s largest exclusively full-fibre broadband provider Hyperoptic as head of PR. Jones joins from Vodafone UK, where he had led the company’s corporate, consumer and enterprise teams for the past two years. Before that, he was head of technology PR at BT Consumer, having previously been part of the EE PR team responsible for the launch and regional rollout of the first 4G network in 2012.

LONDON — Tom Harper, a former investigative journalist and specialist in strategic communications, crisis, international relations and public affairs, has joined APCO Worldwide as a director in the firm’s London office. Harper will support the firm’s clients ranging from CEOs and C-level executives to high-profile individuals and senior government officials, providing strategic counsel on areas including crisis, campaigns, politics, international relations and media. Before joining APCO, Harper worked for agencies in areas including technology, finance, environmental and life sciences. Before he transitioned into consultancy, he was home affairs correspondent at the Sunday Times and also served as the investigations editor of the Independent.

LONDON — Healthcare specialist agency Axon, part of Avenir Global, has hired former Saatchi & Saatchi Wellness general manager Sam Petyan to lead its creative marketing practice as a senior director. Before taking on the leadership role at Saatchi & Saatchi Wellness six years ago, Petyan had held various roles at Saatchi & Saatchi Health UK since 2010.

LONDON — The Flywheelers, an integrated communications agency for high-growth technology startups and scaleups launched by former Brands2Life director Kate Baldwin earlier this year and backed by Brands2Life co-founders Giles Fraser and Sarah Scales, has hired Sam Uden as account director. A two-time Cannes UK Young Lions finalist, Uden (pictured, right, with Baldwin) previously worked at technology agencies Hotwire, WE and AxiCom. He has worked with fintech and technology clients including Six Group, Zoom, OpenText and Confluent.

SHEFFIELD, UK — Specialist healthcare communications consultancy Evergreen PR has hired former Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games brand manager Charlotte Faulkner as its digital lead. Faulkner brings almost a decade of experience in content marketing, brand management and impact measurement, having also worked in digital and brand roles for Jaywing and Brighton Marathon. Evergreen works with healthcare clients including the Personalised Care Institute, OutsideClinic, Ascenti and Quorn.

LEEDS, UK — PR, social and activation agency Hatch has made three new hires, bringing its headcount to 36. Kate Hutchinson joins as junior account director and brings more than five years’ experience working with lifestyle brands. Tom Lord joins as a junior PR and content account director, bringing experience in traditional and digital PR, content creation and video production, in a role that bridges the gap between Hatch’s PR and content teams. Both were previously at The Lucre Group. Nina Rathore joins Hatch as graduate executive and will work across the agency’s FMCG and lifestyle accounts.

NEWCASTLE, UK — Healthcare marketing communications agency Onyx Health has expanded its digital content team with the appointment of Hope Johnston as digital content manager and Jordan Carr as social media executive, after a number of international client wins. Johnston joins from Mediaworks, where she was a content strategist, and previously worked for parent and baby brand, Tommee Tippee, as digital marketing manager. Carr joins from Newcastle University Students Union, where he was a digital media apprentice.
