NEW YORK — Employee management app Homebase has tapped SourceCode Communications for PR support.

Homebase, which helps small businesses manage hourly teams, named SourceCode its communications agency of record following a four-agency competitive review. The tech company previously worked with Pitch Public Relations.

SourceCode’s remit includes elevating awareness of the San Francisco-based app, particularly among the small business owners Homebase is built for. The platform is designed to help small businesses manage hourly workers through features including time clocks, employee scheduling, messaging, payroll, hiring, perks and HR.

SourceCode works with three other companies supporting small businesses — Workhuman, Legion and Traliant.

“Small businesses are the backbone of the U.S. economy, driving 50% of American GDP as an engine of economic opportunity via wealth and job creation. Homebase is about enabling mighty small businesses to build unstoppable teams, so it was crucial to work with a partner that could help us put a spotlight on small business owners and their hourly workers,” said Jonathan Motha-Pollock, Homebase senior manager of PR and communications. ”As a small but mighty team themselves, SourceCode has been a dependable and trusted partner, applying their creative thinking and constant drive to tell meaningful stories of Homebase small businesses and the inspiring people behind them.”
