HAMBURG—German public relations firm fischerAppelt is taking a majority holding in Fork Unstable Media, which will play a leadership role in the agency group’s digital initiatives.

“The entire fischerAppelt group will convert to a digital agency over the medium-term,” says Bernhard Fischer-Appelt, CEO (pictured left). “The relevant competences are being enhanced massively in all parts of the group.”

Fork Unstable Media, founded 15 years ago, has expertise in strategy, web design, technology and e-commerce. Managing directors Manuel Funk (strategy, pictured center), Stefan Ritter (consultancy) and Roman Hilmer (creation) will continue in their current roles after the acquisition.

Fork clients include kabel eins, Vileda Professional, Linotype and OTTO.
