BOSTON — FleishmanHillard has hired John Isaf — who has spent the last decade at Weber Shandwick — to lead its Boston office.

The former head of Fleishman's Boston office, Greg Winter, left the firm last year to become VP of corporate communications at BlueCross BlueShield of Massachusetts. Since then, senior partners Seth Bloom and Randi Tanguay have been co-leading the office. 

Isaf, who taking on SVP, senior partner and GM titles, is tasked with growing the office, overseeing client service, business development, operations and employee development. 

"John is a seasoned Boston agency veteran with the right skills to lead and growth the team," said J.J. Carter, FleishmanHillard COO and president, Americas. "John's experience motivating teams, executing bold client programs and involvement with the community will complement the momentum of the office well." 

He joins the firm after a decade with Weber Shandwick, most recently leading the Boston office's corporate practice as senior vice president. There he provided senior counsel and management of corporate and financial communications, crisis and issues management and integrated content strategies for clients including Liberty Mutual, Harvard Business School and National Bank Holdings. 

Prior to that, Isaf spent 10 years at Arnold Worldwide as senior vice president leading the PR agency unit. While there he was responsible for all aspect of agency management and managed a portfolio of clients including Puma, Verizon an Fidelity Investments.
