NEW YORK—MWW Group has hired Traci Carpenter as director of speechwriting and content. She brings extensive experience in speechwriting, strategic messaging and content development to the firm, having previously served as a senior speechwriter for President Bill Clinton and Governor Andrew Cuomo.

In her new position, Carpenter will support MWW Group’s executive communications across all offices and practice groups and will oversee the development of speeches, op-eds, blogs, and other content for the firm’s corporate and consumer clients, both online and through traditional media channels.

Carpenter comes to MWW most recently from the office of New York Governor Andrew Cuomo. Previously, she served as senior speechwriter for the Office of President Bill Clinton and the William J. Clinton Foundation, where she directed former President Bill Clinton’s speechwriting process, composing hundreds of talking points, remarks, statements, blog posts and other correspondence. She also provided strategic messaging and content development to advance the mission of the Foundation’s various initiatives, including the Clinton Global Initiative.

Carpenter began her political career at the office of then-Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm, and later served as a chief writer on Granholm’s 2006 re-election campaign.
