CHICAGO—Mission Measurement, a firm focused on measuring social outcomes, has appointed former Kraft communications chief C. Perry Yeatman as principal and to the newly-created role of chief marketing officer, reporting directly to CEO Jason Saul.

Prior to joining Mission Measurement, Yeatman was senior vice president for corporate and government affairs at Kraft Foods and president of the Kraft Foods Foundation. During seven years with Kraft, she advised chairman and CEO Irene Rosenfeld on issues ranging from multi-billion dollar acquisitions to ending hunger.

Before joining Kraft in 2005, Yeatman spent nearly 15 years with firms including Shandwick and Burson-Marsteller. In 2000, Yeatman moved “in-house” as a vice president of corporate affairs for Unilever in North America, where she also served on the management board and the board of the Unilever US Foundation.

She has managed global teams and lived and worked overseas for most of the 1990s, based first in Singapore, then Russia and finally the UK.
